Great are you Lord
And greatly to be praised
Far beyond the material
Where Your name is raised
For you are known
By all of your creation
Only mankind refrains
In his ignorant adulation
Arrogance and pride
Have driven his worship
To temporal desires
Until the dust doth conscript
But even the dirt
Knows of your glory
Having brought about life
Through its lowly story
And the heavens speak
And nightly proclaim
Your eternal attributes
And your universal fame
While the oceans shout
As they rock and roil
Pounding the surf
Your omnipotence extol
And mountains grandeur
Rise toward your throne
Gathering the clouds
So your majesty known
And even the beasts
In the animal kingdom
Lift up their spirits
And announce your wisdom
But…there are humans
Who surely trust
Who bow not to things
But know they must
Follow the lead
Of the terrestrial as such
And believe that which
The mind can not touch
And breathe in faith
For which their soul doth lust
Where the Almighty reigns
In all His holiness
