In the Heavenly Temple

by Sandra Graham © 2006

Sometimes in my thoughts, when I'm all alone,
I see Christ glorified, seated on His throne.
A door in heaven opened wide,
He beckons me to come inside.

On His head rests many crowns,
A rainbow's circling all around.

And at His feet a glassy sea,
Where saints attend on bended knee.
They cast their crowns down at His feet,
Amid the scent of incense sweet.

A radiant cloud of heavenly host,
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!

A multitude of saints arise;
Tears are wiped now from their eyes.
Waving palm leaves as they sing,
Hosanna! to their Mighty King!

From out of trials and tribulation,
Come men from every tongue and nation.
Singing the Song of Moses and to the Lamb,
These servants of the Great I AM!

As now the scene grows slowly dim,
I'm transported down to earth again.
Yes, praises to my God, I'm raising,
My Lord, Your grace is still amazing!
