Identity Theft

by Joy Wieters

The Identity Theft
Has struck.
I am down,
So much for luck.
Someone help me
Get it back.
My Identity
I hate to lack.
But then,
What did he take?
Did it cost
That much to make?
I could make
Another now,
One so much better.
Show me how!
Making this one
Won't be easy.
But I know
It won't be cheesy.
My Identity,
As God's child,
Is hard to bear;
This world is wild!
Please Lord,
May we,
In You
Find our Identity.
