You Can Survive

by Donna Hendrix

Beginnings come when you least expect
Never knowing what may come next
Everything has a season in time
Not always is there reason and rhyme

We cannot see what lay ahead
What may become absolute dread
As we forge throughout each day
God is with us come what may

He is the captain of the ship
Through stormy seas and sails that rip
He keeps us focused on the here and now
Takes away the furrowed brow

Endings come when you least expect
Never knowing what may come next
Season's change throughout our lives
With God in your life, you can survive
