My Family

by J L Powell

I Thank You For My Family, Lord, I Love Them All The Same.
I Try To Be Their Leader, & Always Lift Up Your Name.
I Fail, I Fall, & Often Stumble, But I Do Not fear.
It's Easier To Get Up Again When My Family Is Near.

I Thank You For My Son, Oh God, He Is My Pride & Joy.
Though Half Grown, He's Still My Own, He Is My Little Boy.
He Is Always On A Mission Of The Most Important Kind.
He's A Mess, I Must Confess, He's Always On My Mind.

I Thank You For My Daughter Because She Is So Precious To Me.
I Hope She Knows, Even Though She Grows, My Princess She'll Always Be.
Her Eyes Are Full Of Sunshine She Always Has A Smile.
It Means So Much, To Feel Her Touch, & Talk A Little While.

I Thank You For My Wife, Oh Lord, With Her It All Began.
I Suppose, She Really Knows, I Serve Her The Best I Can.
She's An Excellent Mother & An Even Better Wife.
All This Love Is From Above, And Spreads Throughout My Life.

I Usually Mess Up A Little Bit Every Day Of My Life.
But God You Still Allowed Me, Two Wonderful Kids & Wife.
In All The Wrong I've Done, Oh God, I Must Have Done Something Right.
To Deserve This Family You've Given Me,....I Thank You Day & Night.
