My Anchor

There's has been nothing more powerful,
nothing that is more effective
than your Holy Word taught by men of God
to give me the right perspective.

When pressures of life bear down,
and my soul feels in confinement,
You're faithful to send just the Word I need.
My spirit receives an alignment.

I know not what this new year will bring.
I suspect some rocking of my boat.
Yet I trust Your Word will be the anchor
that keeps my vessel afloat.

Life has it struggles and challenges,
which while on this earth will not cease,
but let me not fail to look to Your Word
for direction and strength and peace.
