The Healing Realm

We all long for healing of body and soul
As sickness and anguish are taking it’s toll
Which way do we lean…which route do we take
To cure our afflictions and conquer our aches

There are many options that claim they’re a cure
Like medical…natural and acupuncture
But let’s take a look at a very good source
The One who created us…of course

Let’s review the things He said about health
By getting our Bible down off of the shelf
Look at them openly…with a pure heart
And go back and read what He said from the start

He gave us a diet of foods we should eat
To throw out the critters and stick with clean meat
And just eat a portion that your needs suffice
For being a glutton will not make you nice

To exercise…well that was a given
Not many…back then…had a cart that was driven
When you had to travel or go to have fun
You had two choices…to walk or to run

Forgiving…clean living…doing what’s right
Will rid you from stress and from feeling uptight
But there’s something more that I’m starting to see
And it is a realm so much higher than we

When we pull away from the things of this world
And enter the presence of our mighty Lord
Carrying nothing…that we have attained
For we cannot bring things into His domain
Our spirits will bond…our sickness will flee
Yes…this is where our…true healing will be…

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in Thy presence is fulness of
joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
