Thorns

There were no thorns before "The Fall."
Does this bother you at all?

Because thorns and sin were ever wed,
Christ bore that crown upon His head.

Without the shedding of blood, God said,
The sinner stands "forever dead!"

The thorns remind us of our sin.
We need the blood to cleanse within!

If we would truly be reborn,
We must acknowledge sin and thorns.

And in the heavenly realm, we're told,
Christ's crown of thorn's replaced by gold!
