Then's Not Now

The Bible says you never leave
When I read that I do believe
Jesus you are always there
Anything less I wouldn't care.

I guess that means the problem's me
As far and wide as one could see
All around me pulled the world
Little things that life would hurl.

Why did I let things go so far ?
Left You standing in the dark
This didn't happen overnight
But oh how the years slipped by.

Before I released how much I changed
And how I wasted so much time
I must learn again the ways of old
And bring your love back to mind.

Help me see You everyday
In thought and word and deed
And in Your only work as well
That I may again take heed.
