Identity

by Donna Hendrix

Though the dark valley is lonesome and so deep
When Christ lives within; I can climb the steep

Though the storms of life, cloud all around
When Christ lives within; I am on solid ground

Though the ground shakes, and I will surely fall
When Christ lives within; He will hear my call

Though life is at its best or there's struggles all around
When Christ lives within; my praises should abound

As a Christian, I need not seek for my identity
For I am God's child and Christ lives within me

My life should reflect Christ in all that I do
The image of Christ should come shining through
