The Judgment: My Account Today

by Raydene Nash

I stand before my Advocate, my Judge,
He's seated by the Lawgiver above.
His name is Jesus, giving me a nudge,
To say He's witnessed all of me with love.
The Father, giver of the Law and Grace,
Speaks out: "Your sins are deep within the sea,
My Son is shining bright upon your face,
It's time for you to give account to me."
Due to His grace, His righteousness my robe,
The Holy Spirit wells up in my soul.
Into my eyes, the Father's gaze does probe,
His Son, Yeshua, lives, my prize, my goal.
"Except for Jesus' grace I had no hope,
To hell my life's degrading ways did slope."

"She stole my boyfriend right beneath my nose!"
Accused a bystander who'd not found grace.
"You never could trust her around the men!"
Accused another standing clad in lace.
"Silence in the court!" commanded Jesus.
"The Father only sees His Son in her,
Son of His love." Then demons rose a fuss.
Ignoring them, God with His Son conferred.
"My Spirit witnesses with hers she's saved,"
Confirmed my Savior, Advocate and Judge.
"Her sins nailed to the cross, I this child forgave.
She knows it, and she doesn't hold a grudge."
"I need the testimony that she brings,"
Spoke, ruling, the Creator of all things."
"Of the world, I am an overcomer,
In Your Son, God, I'm more than conqueror.
To Your Word of grace, I did surrender,
Then Your precepts my heart did remember.
Your law within, with grace transforming me,
I strove to speak, though few it was who'd hear.
I longed to see the captives all set free,
I kept my focus on my Lord, right here.
Living life as worthy of my calling,
My boast is in the cross that brought me grace.
I've nothing save for what You've given me,
I have so longed to see Yeshua's face."
"It's true that her salvation is assured
By My own blood," the Son with God conferred.

"What of the gifts I gave her?" asked the Lord.
"I heard her Mother's prayers, I healed My child."
To fail in this, my Lord could not afford,
My Advocate, God's Son was not beguiled.
"When she asked, I gave her much discernment,
I heard her prayers to save a baby's life.
I gave her victory for battle meant,
Her conscience wasn't filled with lots of strife."
Then Jesus paused for impact, seeing when
Back to Himself the focus would be steered.
"She learned, she knew My voice did not condemn,
Legitimate, chastisement she did hear."
"She doesn't have a church!" a leader spoke,
"To pay her tithe she's always been too broke!"

Jesus answered the church leader gravely:
"She is a member of My body, flesh,
And bones, although the least, importantly,
To Me she is a breath of air that's fresh."
To God the Father turning, the Judge said,
"Her church was lukewarm and I spat it out.
They called her names, with her would not break bread,
To hear her speak the Word they weren't about."
Then Jesus turned and spoke to me, "Well done,
My good and faithful servant, enter in."
God said to me, "A good race you have run,
You knew that with My Son you're sure to win!
You'll be rewarded for eternity
For all you've done in Jesus' name for me!"
