A NOAH WARNING

by Janette Lueveen

In the dark ancient world of old
Wickedness became hopelessly bold

Though men were amply warned
Goodness was all the more scorned

For their sins, they had no sorrow
They felt no fear for tomorrow

Noah cried, Lord look and see
How everyone laughs at me

You and yours I’ll surely spare
Just follow my plans with special care

A mighty boat will deliver thee
While I wrap the earth in unending sea

In the dark world of today
Satan again has targeted his prey

Though men are still amply warned
Once again, goodness is cursed and scorned

For their sins, they have no sorrow
Alas, they have no fear of tomorrow!
