Breakthrough

The sun rises to welcome in the day
though my old problems always want their say;
looking for a breakthrough, from the past that I portray
searching for the answers in the carnage of dismay.

The Son rose to life to welcome in the new day
despite my problems, He wanted to have His say;
claiming a lasting breakthrough, from my past to set free
providing all the answers, to bring me to my knee.
