All Things

by Kevin Smead © 2023

If I were swallowed by a whale, your power could set me free;
If by an army were pursued, then you could part the sea.
If in a dungeon for my faith, your hand could stay the beast;
If hungry in the wilderness, you could provide a feast.

Your power great; Your presence real; Your love my hope; your word my seal.
As you were once, so you are still, all things depend upon your will.

If on the water in a storm, then you could calm the sea;
If unjustly in a prison, your words could comfort me.
If confronted by Goliath, you could direct my arm;
If in a fiery furnace, you could save me from harm.

Your power great; Your presence real; Your love my hope; your word my seal.
As you were once, so you are still, all things depend upon your will.

If sick, and suffering alone, then you could make my bed;
If preaching and in need of aid, then you could raise the dead.
If I were running for my life, you could provide the meal;
If rough the journey on my way, You could make low the hill.

Your power great; Your presence real; Your love my hope; your word my seal.
As you were once, so you are still, all things depend upon your will.
