Chariot To Victory

God, we prayed for a miracle
of temporary relief
one that would keep her longer on earth
postpone and assuage our grief.

We know without doubt You're the healer.
You possess unlimited power.
Yet we struggle in that You saw fit
to take her from us this hour.

If we could look past this veil of tears
our eyesight aided to see
that now standing in Your presence
is a saint for eternity.

Although we can't choose when and how we die
indeed, it is a vehicle
for a child of God's greatest victory,
eternal salvation of the soul.
