The Good Shepherd

by Mark Spencer © 2022

The wolves howl as the shepherd grieves.
The Lord is preceded by thieves!
The flocks are drawn to their howling,
Blind to the predator's prowling.

The Good Shepherd laid down His life,
To provide the Bridegroom a wife.
But the flocks are slipping away.
The bandits have led them astray.

Has faith become weaker than fear,
When Lucifer's faithful appear?
Terror is fueled through deception,
Distorting the fold's perception.

That road will lead to damnation,
On plagues of human creation.
Vaccines turn the free into slaves,
While sending the rest to their graves.

The wolves have come into the fold.
In pursuit of power and gold!
They worship the beast and his kin,
And feed on the spirits of men!

But the Good Shepherd paid the price,
Through the blood of His sacrifice!
A ransom that none can undo.
For He left that choice up to you.

Follow the wolves or heed His voice.
He died so you can have that choice.
The world is filled with fear and hate.
The Shepherd offers you His gate!

The time to choose is drawing near!
Do not be blinded by the fear!
For if you let your fear decide,
The gate may close … with you outside.
