Take Captive My Thoughts and Words

Dear Lord,

Please take captive all my thoughts—
Lord, each and every one.
Rein them in and make them Yours—
come let this deed be done.

Fill my mind with Godly thoughts—
my heart with purity.
Bless all words that cross my lips—
remove all vanity.

Help me live my days on Earth
according to Your Will.
Give to me a willing heart
and teach me to "be still."

"Be still" and know You are God—
the Lord, and mighty King.
Etch Your Word upon my heart
and fill it with blessings.
