Waiting Aware

I'm waiting for "now" to arrive
wondering if I am alive,
lost forever in yesterday's dance
missing all of today's true romance.

Awareness just left to chance
other lives not to enhance,
longing for what is ahead
holding on by just a thread…

Waiting loved in the Father's presence
leaving behind my adolescence,
growing up to know lasting beauty
embracing grace my only duty.

Awareness never left to chance
living today the blessed romance,
secure in the "now" that is mine
knowing my heart He will refine.
