Today

Today I heard God whisper
so softly in my ear.
He told me that He loved me
and saved each of my tears.

Today I felt God hug me
with His amazing grace—
He took away my worries
and all the fears I face.

Today I witnessed treasures
in everyone I met—
I saw a wondrous beauty
in hearts I won't forget.

Today I saw God's blessings
through eyes He'd given me . . .
there were things I'd overlooked
but now my eyes can see.

Today the Lord has blessed me
and helped me realize
that every day holds blessings—
they're right before our eyes.
