Idle Words

"But I tell you that everyone will have to give account
on the day of judgment
for every empty word they have spoken."
(Matthew 12:36, NIV)

For every idle word we speak
we'll someday give account.
Our words will be judged by the Lord—
yes, every word will count.

So . . .

Let sinful words not cross our lips—
let's plant all worthy seeds.
Remember God is listening
and sees our every deed.
