Joyous God

Blessed in the true beauty of romance
resting in the meadows of the dance,
Loving all the fun of pure delight
stars of wonder, making night alight,
Hugs of comfort that takes my breath away
refreshment soon discovered in our play;
Living in the nourishment of God's applause
enjoyment of our worship should never pause!

Raindrops refreshing landscapes that we see
knowing all the deep joy of living free,
Shadows disappearing in the light of grace
healing smiles appear relentless on our face,
Humor; the gift that can lift our weary soul
reminding of His presence, making us whole;
Protected no matter where I plod
safe in the arms of my joyous God!

Laughter captures the beauty of His love
lifting from our burdens to God above,
Running in the bliss of the glorious unknown
secure in the knowledge that in love we are known
by our Father longing to give abundant life
guiding us safely through the burden of our strife;
Into God's delight we should forever run
freely given from the Father of all fun!

Note: The joy of the Lord is our strength - why do we leave this aspect of our God so often from our perspective of Him? We should learn to enjoy God, to appreciate Him and the sacred romance. We are told he rejoices over us with joyful songs (God sings songs about you!); I think its well past the time we return the favor!
