A Mother's Love Is a Gift

A mother loves her unborn child
and awaits the day
she holds and hugs her little one,
the one for which she prays.
"We love because he first loved us. "

A mother's heart is powerful—
abounding with God's love.
This precious gift that's given her
rains down from Him above.
A mother's love is comforting—
it offers peace of mind.
It also is encouraging,
patient, tender, kind.
A mother's love is generous—
it gives unselfishly.
It faithfully devotes its life
with time and energy.
A mother's love is limitless—
it truly has no bounds.
It shields us from the world we know
where harmful things are found.
A mother's love will never end—
it lives forevermore.
It hugs and holds its precious ones—
the dear ones she adores.
