A New Creation

With lost and broken lives all around
looking for answers that cannot be found,
we hide all the faults that bring us down
an empty attempt to stop our frown.

People hurting and in despair
for real hope and peace are quite rare,
desperate, lost and with much fear
they face pain which is always near.

Crippled and hurt by the shame we feel;
we fail to reach out, we fail to kneel,
we struggle really hard to fix ourselves
while His guiding word is left on our shelves.

Accepting grace by us living free
new creations because of the tree,
forgiveness of wrongs, we need to accept
so, we can know, in God's love we are kept.
