In 2018, I heard for the first time in my life how lambs were born and bred in Bethlehem; how the unblemished ones for singled out and swaddled; were later sacrificed, and shed their blood in Jerusalem for the sins of the people. Google it. Amazing!

The Road to Bethlehem
Beginning in 1980, I wrote 25 Christmas poems over the course of the next 27 years. It was my (nearly) annual tradition. Then, I stopped! Twelve years later, after being VERY convicted for ignoring God's gift to me, this was my Christmas poem for 2017.

The Reason
I've already seen Christmas items on the shelves in early October. While I appreciate something other than Halloween stuff, I'm still taken aback with the commercialization and compromise of Christmas and the Great Commission...Here are my thoughts.

Did the Angels get it Wrong?
