Comforting & Joyous Poems

I’ve Known You Forever first in poetry contest
Back in 2004 my church studied Rick Warren's book, The Purpose-Driven Life. We spent forty days reading forty chapters. For the 6-week series, I wrote 6 poems based upon the scriptures found in 6 of those 40 chapters. This was for Day/Chapter 2.

Despair Not
Even when our worlds get out of hand and anxiety wears out our hearts, Jesus gives us the command, "Do not worry.'I have found that I cannot do that without the Holy Spirit's intervention, even though His phrase seems so easy, at face value.

No Longer Sluggards
We need Jesus strength to keep God's laws.

O What A Joyous Day!
O What A Joyous Day!

Unwavering Grace
Though our performance is up and down, and none of us can live as we desire, the faithfulness of our loving Savior will see us through to the end.

The Power Of A HUG
A hug is such a simple action, yet the power within it is from God.

Fairness
This poem refers to our heavenly Father andto earthly fathers as well.

The Joy Of His Presence
This is a poem of praise to Jesus for the joy and peace He gives in my life.

My joy
Spreading Gods goodness, is one of the greatest joys there is.
